Our History

Hijwel Migration Lawyers (HML), was established after working with individuals and an array of companies ranging in sizes and industries. Understanding that each client has different immigration needs and as such there is a need to create a tailored solution for each client. As a result HML was created, where the firm exclusively focuses on immigration law, with the vision to empower companies with a seamless 360° (degrees) immigration experience, allowing companies to focus on what they do best - their core business!

Under HML philosophy, we have built an immigration service model comprising of a team of niche experts, partners and global alliances to bring a new direction to the corporate immigration services available today in Australia. Prior to HML, the founder and managing director, Ms Rola Hijwel, started working in Australian immigration law in 2000 for non-profitable organisations assisting individuals. Whilst in this role an appreciation and understanding was attained of the importance of providing settlement assistance to the result of a successful transition to Australia. This experience has been incorporated into the services portfolio to assist employers to ensure their employees are settled to enable them to focus on their role from the initial start date.

Later, working with a global immigration law firm, Ms Hijwel worked with prestigious global and Australian companies across a wide range of industries and led a team of immigration experts to meet the demands and service expectations of fortune 500 global corporations. Bringing a high service level, expertise and over 10 years experience to HML and then building on these core elements creating a firm which values its clients and their unique needs by providing strategic solutions customised for them through an attuned understanding of their immediate and long term business goals and plans.
